================================ = RELEASE NOTES OF YFSWW3 1.16 = ================================ -------------------------- What's NEW in VERSION 1.16 -------------------------- * Radiation of photons in W deacys into quarks can be activated with the help of the input parameter IfPhot: IFPHOT =0: PHOTOS off (no radiation in W decays) =1: radiation in leptonic W decays only (recommended) =2: radiation in leptonic and quarkonic W decays (for tests) * Fixed order, no exponentiation, calculations added in the routine Model: WTSET(65/66/67/68): Born/O(alpha^1)/Born+virtual+soft/1 real hard photon * Improvements in the YFS formfactor calculation in the small mass limit (the file: yfsww/yfsfmf.f). * Some technical improvements in the code, e.g. in the files: rewt_K.f, filexp.f, model.f, virsof.f -------------------------- What's NEW in VERSION 1.15 -------------------------- * The previous approximate option for EW NL corrections replaced by the "fast" version of the "exact" calculation in which pretabulation of EW NL corrections is made in the initialization mode of the program and then linear interpolation is used in the generation mode. * In the directory wdeclib there are now two version of PHOTOS: the original one: photos-orig.f with radiation from leptons only (DEFAULT) and the the new one: photos-quarks.f where photon radiation from quarks is also switched on (this is mainly for some tests). In order to use it one has to copy one of these files into the file: photos.f * The ISR option KeyCor=2 is emulated in the "Best" mode, i.e. appropriate ISR weights/events are calculated in parallel to "Best" weights/events; see README for more details. * An interface for re-weighting KoralW or YFSWW3 generated events is added; see directory: rewt * A new input data file has been added in the directory data_files: data_DEFAULTS.00 (it is also made a DEFAULT input file: data_DEFAULTS). It is based on the recent Review of Particle Physics by Particle Data Group: Eur. Phys. J. C15 (2000) 1. * Some improvements in photon radiation off W's (a new routine Piatek). * The routine FILEXP is moved to the file filexp.f and getter-routines are moved to the file ww_get.f * We fixed some numerical instabilities spotted on Linux. -------------------------- What's NEW in VERSION 1.14 -------------------------- * Improved treatment of QED versus non-QED corrections in WW production in G_mu scheme (according to renormalization group improved YFS theory). --> Numerical effects: reduction of the total WW cross section for E_CM = 200GeV by ~0.4% w.r.t. the previous version. -------------------------- What's NEW in VERSION 1.13 -------------------------- * INPUT/OUTPUT in a KoralW 1.42 style * CC03 crude-level presampler from KoralW * Born-level and QED ISR matrix elements from KoralW * Radiatively corrected W-decay branching rations included (as in KoralW) * Non-diagonal-CKM W-decays possible * Naive QCD corrections for quarkonic W-decays included * "Screened Coulomb Ansatz" as on option for Coulomb correction added * LPA mode (with all residuals on-shell) added (for tests) NOTE: NO BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY of this version !!! -------------------------- What's NEW in VERSION 1.12 -------------------------- * Four-momenta and flavours of all particle provided in the standard PDG event record /HEPEVT/. * Added interfaces to PHOTOS (photon radiation from the final state leptons), TAUOLA (the final state tau decays) and JETSET (hadronization of the final state quarks).
